Early stage supports for individuals with Alzheimer's disease or related dementia and their care partners include
SUPPORTIVE COUNSELLING
Individuals with dementia and their families find practical help, discuss strategies for care and plan for the future.
FIRST STEPS LEARNING SERIES
This 4 week series is to help individuals newly diagnosed with dementia and their care partners to understand their diagnosis and the changes they experience. This series also offer participants an opportunity to share and connect with others embarking on a similar journey.
BEGINNINGS SUPPORT GROUP
This monthly support group help individuals with dementia connect with others and provides opportunities for sharing experiences and discuss coping strategies. The group runs from September to May each year.
MEMORY PLUS
This bi-monthly group provides opportunity for individuals with dementia and their care partners to take part in recreational activities, learn more about healthy living and support each other.
GATHER AT THE GALLERY
This 10 week program offers an opportunity for people living with early stage dementia and their care partners to visit local galleries, museums and art studios to create artwork and be a part of guided tours.
